Visit by the Ambassador of Belgium

The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) was honored by the visit of Belgium Ambassador to Finland and Estonia, H.E. Mr Philippe Beke, on 5 August 2016.

The honorable guest was welcomed by the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL Major General Vitalijuš Vaikšnoras as well as incoming Commandant Major General Andis Dilans, and Chief of Staff Colonel Axel Pfaffenroth.

The guest was given a detailed presentation on the BALTDEFCOL’s history, its vision, mission, strategic goals and main lines of effort. The meeting provided to the both sides an excellent opportunity to exchange views and ideas about deepening the cooperation between the college and Belgium.

Today’s official visit was the first time for the Belgium Ambassador to visit the Baltic Defence College. H.E. Mr. Philippe Beke became the Ambassador of Belgium accredited to Finland and Estonia in 2016.
