Visit by the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania

On 15th June the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) was honoured by the visit of Mr Raimundas Karoblis, Minister of National Defence of Lithuania. The Commandant, Major General Andis Dilāns welcomed the high-level guest, who visited the College for the first time.

Visit started with the Graduation Ceremony of the Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) 2017 and Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) 2016/2017 where the Minister had a privilege to address the invited guests, BALTDEFCOL faculty, graduates and their families. He personally congratulated Lithuanian students for successful completion of education.

After the graduation ceremony, programme continued in the College, where after the building tour led by College Sergeant Major Peeter Einbaum, the Minister was briefed about the BALTDEFCOL mission, courses and research activities. It was followed by questions and answers session as of the Minister’s interest in the College history, education and research activities.
