Visit by Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Defence of Latvia

On 12th of April, Mr Viesturs Silenieks, Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Defence of Latvia, visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).

Mr Silenieks was welcomed by the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL Major General Andis Dilāns accompanied by Deputy Commandant/Chief of Staff Colonel Jean Trudel and Dean Dr Zdzislaw Sliwa.

Afterwards, Mr Silenieks was invited to sign the BALTDEFCOL’s Guest Book and was given a thorough presentation on BALTDEFCOL’s academic activities and ongoing developments.

The official programme was concluded by Mr Silenieks´ lecture on “Sustainable development of militaries” to the students of Higher Command Studies Course 2018. The intriguing presentation was followed by an active round of questions and answers.
