Today, on 6th May 2021, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) had an honour to host Lieutenant General Sławomir Wojciechowski, who is serving as Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC-NE) and his delegation.
Lieutenant General Wojciechowski and his company were welcomed by the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL, Brigadier General Ilmar Tamm accompanied by the members of the BALTDEFCOL Management Group, and Colonel Jacek Lewandowski, the Polish SNR (senior national representative) at the college.
After the office call between the leaders of the two organizations, the visit continued with a presentation on BALTDEFCOL’s Command Senior Enlisted Leaders’ Course and ongoing developments including the execution of Exercise JOINT RESOLVE 2021, the culmination event for the Joint Command and General Staff Course.
In August 2018, the Agreement of Cooperation between both organizations was signed with the aim to improve the knowledge and understanding of issues related to security in the Baltic states and beyond. Furthermore, exchanging of Subject-Matters Experts, supporting each other in the field of operations with expertise/advice and inviting each other to participate in conferences, study periods, exercises, and other events.
This was General’s second visit to BALTDEFCOL, as he visited BALTDEFCOL in November 2018 as part of his official visit to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
