Thank you for considering attending the Baltic Defence College’s Strategic Decision Making in NATO! The course dates are from 20 to 24 March 2023 at the Baltic Defence College, Tartu, Estonia.

We are excited to offer you this challenging and rewarding course. We are also excited for you to become part of the team amongst our Higher Command Studies Course and the Joint Command and General Staff Course students, together with military staff officers and civilian servants from the Baltic countries and NATO Joint Warfare Centre. We hope this course enhances your professional skills and provides you with excellent knowledge, insights and experiences to take back to your command and indeed for your future in the service of your country and the Alliance. We wish to point out that the course, aiming at preparing the participants for service at the political-military level, require no special military expertise. However, good knowledge about own organisation is considered very useful. In previous years, the typical ranks ranged between OF-3 and OF-6 and their civilian equivalents.

There are limited seats available, and applications will be considered with the aim of creating a balanced mix of participants. You will be informed as soon as possible after registration for the course ends at 24 February 2023. Due to the fact that networking is one of the key outcomes of this course, there is no opportunity to participate remotely.

You should plan on arriving in Tartu by Sunday, 19 March to support the course start Monday morning.
