Remarks by General James N. Mattis over VTC

On August 5th General James N. Mattis who serves as NATO´s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation and commander, U.S Joint Forces Command, delivered his remarks over Video Teleconferencing (VTC).

General Mattis delivered remarks on “NATO Transformation” to the audience of 13 students of the Higher Command and General Staff Course, which is accredited by ACT and is part of NATO Course Catalogue, and College faculty members. He afterwards engaged in a lively session of Questions&Answers with the students and staff members.

The distinguished speaker provided an overview of NATO’s transformation policies and programs, the challenges they seek to address and the progress made so far. The presentation was part of Module 101: Introduction to Transformation, which is intended to introduce themes that will be relevant to the rest of the HCSC curriculum.

The presentation of General Mattis had also great significance in the history of the Baltic Defence College as it was the first occasion when the VTC was successfully put into practice.
