Lecture by LTG Zoltan Szenes

On 9 Oct the former Chief of Defence of Hungary filling the position in 2003-2005 and current Associate Professor at the Department of Security and Defence Police at Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University (ZMNDU), LTG Zoltan Szenes visited the BALTDEFCOL.

LTG Szenes delivered a lecture on “Defence and Force Planning in Hungary” to the students of the HCSC. The lecture was part of Module 202: Current defence and force planning.

Afterward LTG Szenes had a meeting with the Commandant of the College, BG Abols. The character of the meeting was rather friendly.

LTG Szenes has been an Adjunct Professor in the Baltic Defence College since 2007. LTG Szenes teaches the issues of Defence Policy, NATO Studies, Defence Management and NATO Logistics at BSc, MSc and PhD level in the ZMNDU. He also conducts research on defence policies and NATO Logistics. He was elected the Chairman of the Military Science Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2008. General Szenes is a member of the Advisory Team to the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister. He also works for the Allied Command of Transformation as a Senior Concept Developer.
