Baltic Defence College NATO Strategic Concept Workshop 15 – 16 October 2009

On 15 – 16 October 2009 the Baltic Defence College in Tartu, Estonia, will host a two-day academic workshop on the subject of the NATO strategic Concept and how this might impact the Baltic Region. We are organizing several panels for presentations that will cover all aspects of the NATO Strategic Concept to include discussion of such subjects as the future of NATO nations’ force structures, engagement strategies, relations with PfP countries, new military doctrines, national procurement strategies, threat assessments, and national strategic visions. We especially invite papers and panel proposals from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia and from members of their armed forces, defence ministries and foreign ministries.
