Fifth Anniversary and Graduation Celebrations

BALTDEFCOL celebrated the 5th anniversary together with the graduation of the Joint Command and General Staff Course, Colonels Course and Civil Servants Course students on 19 June 2004 at the Theatre Vanemuine.

• The Minister of Defence of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Margus Hanson opened the ceremony and welcomed all the participants at his hometown.
• Welcome address was presented by the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, Brig. Gen. Michael Clemmesen.
• Main graduation speech was given by the Minister of Defence of Sweden, H.E. Mrs. Leni Björklund.
• Five Year Anniversary key-note speech by the Deputy Chairman of NATO Military Committee, Lt. Gen. Thomas L. Baptiste.
• Speech by the Deputy Director General/Chief of Staff of the European Union Military Staff, Maj. General Jean-Pierre Herreweghe.
