Visit by the Deputy Director to the International Organisation Directorate of the Joint Defence Staff

On 30^th January BALTDEFCOL was honoured by the visit of Colonel Jean-Eudes Barau, Deputy Director to the International Organisation Directorate of the Joint Defence Staff.

The Colonel Jean-Eudes Barau was welcomed by the Commandant, Major General Vitalijus Vaikšnoras, which was followed by a meeting with the BALTDEFCOL representatives. Joint Command and General Staff Course and Civil Servants Course(JCGSC/CSC) Director Colonel Remigijus Baltrenas gave the guest a general overview of the college, respective courses, research and priorities. Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) Director Colonel Igors Rajevs concluded by presenting the HCSC. Afterwards a more detailed discussion about future cooperation in regard to guest lecturers, subject matter experts and instructors was held.

The programme at the College continued with Colonel Jean-Eudes Barau`s lecture on ‘Operations Conducted by the French Armed Forces’ to the BALTDEFCOL students.
