Visit by Mr Robertas Šapronas, Defence Policy Director of Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania

On January 8th, Mr Robertas Šapronas, Defence Policy Director of Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania, visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).

Mr Šapronas was welcomed by the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL, Major General Andis Dilāns accompanied by Deputy Commandant/Chief of Staff Colonel Jean Trudel and Senior National Representative for Lithuania Colonel Dalius Polekauskas.

The visit started with Mr Šapronas’ lecture on “Deepening Defence Cooperation among EU Member States (PESCO)” to BALTDEFCOL faculty and students of Joint Command and General Staff Course 2017/2018. The presentation was followed by an active questions and answers session.

Afterwards, Mr Šapronas was invited to sign the College’s Guest Book and given a thorough presentation on BALTDEFCOL’s academic activities and ongoing developments.

The official programme was concluded with Mr Šapronas’ meeting with Lithuanian staff and students at BALTDEFCOL.
