Distinguished Visitors’ Afternoon

On 9th of February, Ambassadors and Defence Attachés of allied and partner nations of Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) as well as the representatives of partner institutions participated in the “Distinguished Visitors’ Afternoon”. The Commandant, Major General Andis Dilāns and the members of College Management Group welcomed the high rank guests.

During the event, the visitors received an overview of the current situation and future developments of the BALTDEFCOL. The guests got an insight of the history, actual course programmes and research conducted at the College. Upcoming major milestones include Conferences on Russia and Baltic Military History and graduation ceremony of the students of Joint Command and General Staff Course and Higher Command Studies Course.

In the course ofthe “Distinguished Visitors’ Afternoon” Colonel Jakob Sogard Larsen, the Commander of the NATO Force Integration Unit Lithuania received a graduation badge of the Senior Leaders Course 2016, as a new design has been approved.

Afterwards, the majority of the visitors took the opportunity to join BALTDEFCOL´s students and staff to celebrate the annual “International Night”.
