Visit by Mr Jānis Sārts, Director of NATO STRATCOM COE

On 27th of March, Mr Jānis Sārts, Director of NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence (STRATCOM COE) visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). Mr Sārts was welcomed by the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL, Major General Andis Dilāns accompanied by the members of College Management Group.

The visit started with an office call with MG Dilāns. It was followed by Mr Sārts’ lecture “STRATCOM as Field of Conflict” to students of the Higher Command Studies Course 2018.

Afterwards, Mr Sārts received a presentation on BALTDEFCOL. The main topics of the discussion included BALTDEFCOL’s latest developments and NATO accreditation with an emphasis on the STRATCOM course. Extended cooperation between the two institutions in research activities was also discussed.

Throughout the years, STRATCOM COE has extensively contributed to the education provided by the BALTDEFCOL through elective courses and exercises.
