Visit by delegation from Defence Academy of the United Kingdom

On 27th of February 2019, CAPT (N) Karen McTear and LTC Scott Awad from the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).

The aim of the visit was to gain insight into BALTDEFCOL in general and the Joint Command and General Staff Course (BALTDEFCOL equivalent of ACSC) in particular. The JCGSC Director, accompanied by faculty, provided detailed overview of the curriculum allowing better understanding of the comprehensive approach to education delivered in the College within international civil-military environment.

The visit also provided a good opportunity to explore areas of future cooperation between the two Professional Military Education institutions helping to improve their educational output. Opportunities to observe or to participate in specific modules of both ACSC and JCGSC was discussed as one of the possibilities.
