A short tour to Tartu and a speech at the Baltic Defence College by the Prime Minister of Lithuania Mr. Gediminas Kirkilas were planned to take place on 15 February, as a part of his two-day official visit in Estonia..However, weather conditions prevented the plane carrying the Lithuanian delegation from landing at Tartu airport, and the visit has been cancelled. The Prime Minister‘s office, expressing its regret about a missed opportunity for the Prime Minister to address the BALTDEFCOL students and staff on regional security issues, kindly provided the manuscript of his speech.
