SALARY: €1350-€1750 per month (gross)
CONTRACT: Temporary (substitution of an employee who is absent due to maternity leave)

We are looking for the Course Secretary to support two of BALTDEFCOL courses – Joint Command and General Staff Course and Civil Servants Course – in all administrative and organizational matters. 

I MAIN DUTIES

  1. Assists the Supervisor in administrative tasks related to JCGSC and CSC.
  2. Assists the Module Coordinators of the JCGSC and CSC.
  3. Uses ILIAS system related to the JCGSC and CSC in coordination with Education Information Systems Manager.
  4. Supports the Supervisor in budget related issues.
  5. Assists the Supervisor and Syndicate Guiding Officers in organising special events of the JCGSC / CSC.
  6. Takes minutes of meetings organised by the Supervisor and related to JCGSC and CSC activities.
  7. Supports the Supervisor in development and coordination of course plans for the JCGSC and CSC.
  8. Provides support to Department of Military Studies faculty members in arranging transportation and accommodation for duty trips.

II OTHER DUTIES

  1. Fulfils additional job related tasks as requested by the Supervisor.
  2. Supports the Supervisor in coordination of Syndicate Guiding Officers’ development.

III QUALIFICATIONS

1. Essential qualifications

  • Experience in educational event planning;
  • Knowledge of document management;
  • Flexibility, creativity, dynamism and a result-oriented approach to duties;
  • Experience of working and co-operating in a military environment.
  • Computer skills (Office software and Internet use);
  • Language: English (Independent User: B2 or a comparable language performance profile). 

2. Desirable qualifications

  • An academic degree;
  • SharePoint software knowledge
