AICSC 2007 Graduation Ceremony


On Saturday, 09th of June 2007 Baltic Defence College graduated the students of the first Army Intermediate Command and Staff Course (AICSC). The event was opened by the Commandant who presented the distinguished audience a graduation speech (see below). After that the speeches by the highest Baltic statesÂ’ representatives in the Ceremony, Maj Gen Ants Laaneots (Commander of Estonian Defence Forces), Brig Gen Juris Maklakovs (Commander of the Latvian National Armed Forces) and Brig Gen Arvydas Pocius (Commander of Lithuanian Land Forces), followed. 60 students from 11 nations received their diplomas and badges and Capt Hauvala made a speech on behalf of the AICSC 2007. A music episode was performed and leaving Staff members were awarded with the Baltic Defence College Service Cross as well as several other awards by the Baltic states. A group photo was taken and a reception was afterwards held to celebrate the important occasion not only for the students but also for the Baltic Defence College itself.
