Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Doris Danler, paid a visit to the Baltic Defence College

The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) was honoured by the visit of Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Doris Danler accompanied by Ms Anne Laur, Cultural Secretary to the Ambassador, on 21 January 2016.

Our distinguished guest had a meeting with the Commandant of the College, Major General Vitalijus Vaikšnoras, during which she was given a detailed presentation on the BALTDEFCOL’s history, its vision, mission, strategic goals and main lines of effort. The meeting provided to the both sides an excellent opportunity to exchange views and ideas about deepening the cooperation between the college and Austria. It was emphasized that the college’s desire is to seek for opportunities of mutual benefit to develop the partnership even further. Over the time, three officers from Austria have graduated from the Higher Command Studies Course at the Baltic Defence College.

H.E. Mrs. Doris Danler took the office as the Ambassador of Austria to Estonia in September 2015. This was her first visit to the BALTDEFCOL.
