The autumn Baltic Coordination Group (BCG) meeting under the Chairmanship of Latvia was held on October 11-12, 2023, in Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL), focusing on discussing the BALTDEFCOL's Lines of Effort. This meeting brought together delegations from the Framework Nations — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — and members of the BALTDEFCOL's Leadership.
Framework Nations were represented by the Estonian Ministry of Defence and Defence Forces Headquarters, the Latvian Ministry of Defence and the National Armed Forces’ Joint Headquarters, and the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence representatives. BCG meeting included discussions regarding the BALTDEFCOL's Annual Activity Plan 2024, education and research, budget and NATO nations’ contribution to the BALTDEFCOL's education.
BCG is a working-level governance body referring to the Baltic Ministerial Committee and the Baltic Military Committee in relation to all questions linked to the management and development of BALTDEFCOL. Its primary role is to review, evaluate and support BALTDEFCOL activities, use of resources and student administration.
