On 22nd February Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The Hall of Fame was established in 2016 to honour graduates who have distinguished themselves in their military and/or civilian careers and reached high-level positions.
This time, BALTDEFCOL inducted two high level graduates. Brigadier General Meelis Kiili, Commander of Estonian Defence League, was the fourth Commandant of the Baltic Defence College in 2010–2012. He graduated from the Senior Staff Course 1999/2000.
Major General (ret.) Valeri Saar, former Commander of the Estonian Air Force is currently Advisor on Veteran Affairs to the Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces. MG (ret.) Saar graduated from the Higher Command Studies Course in 2004.
The Induction Ceremony was followed by lectures from the inductees on Baltic security and management versus leadership to BALTDEFCOL staff and students of Joint Command and General Staff Course and Higher Command Studies Course. Both inductees are continuously supporting the College with their expertise contributing to the mission of BALTDEFCOL and quality of education.
