BALTDEFCOL Community Honors Fallen Lithuanian Soldiers with "In Memoriam" Charity Run

The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) family gathered for the 11th time to participate in the “In Memoriam” Charity Run.

This annual event is a heartfelt tribute honouring fallen Lithuanian soldiers and supporting their families. It is organised by the Lithuanian Military Families’ Women Society "Birutietės".

The event was opened with greetings from the BALTDEFCOL Commandant, BG Šiuparis, who thanked everyone for supporting the Lithuanian community through their participation and donations.

Students, staff, and family members walked, ran, and cycled around the Anne Canal, commemorating the brave sacrifices of Lithuanian soldiers.
The physical activity added an element of unity and participation, symbolising the collective effort to remember and honour these soldiers.

Additionally, we took part in the #InMemoriam walking challenge. Together, we walked over 700 million steps, with BALTDEFCOL contributing 11 million steps. Out of 34 teams, we achieved an honourable 19th place.

This event reflects the strong sense of community and remembrance among the students, staff, and families of BALTDEFCOL.

Thank you all for coming together!
