BALTDEFCOL Delegation Visited Marine Corps University

On 04 April 2013 the Commandant of Marine Corps University Brigadier General William Mullen III hosted representatives of BALTDEFCOL in Quantico, Virginia.

The day-long visit featured roundtable discussions on myriad topics, including the development of an elective program for operational and strategic level courses, an exchange of ideas regarding civil servant education, and the conduct of faculty development programs. Of particular interest was the extensive dialogue regarding best practices utilized by MCU to foster creative thinking in the learning environment. "Once the discussions got going, it was quite difficult to stop. The MCU faculty's ideas and way of thinking were quite rich," said BALTDEFCOL Commandant Major General Vitalijus Vaikšnoras.
