The Baltic Defence College Dean, Dr Zdzislaw Sliwa provided lectures in the Akademia Marynarki Wojennej w Gdyni (Poland’s Naval Academy) in Gdynia between 06-10 November 2017. The lectures were delivered for military students participating in senior officers’ courses as precondition for promotion and being selected for higher-level positions.
During the visit, the Dean was invited for an office call with the Rector-Commandant Captain Navy Prof.Tomasz Szubrycht to discuss possible field of cooperation with the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).
The lectures were focused on regional security and those are delivered in the frame of the ‘Cathedra Ad-Hoc’ program activated by the Polish Ministry of Defence in the current academic year to enhance the awareness of officers, civilian students and academics about security challenges and to strengthen cooperation with other Professional Military Education and civilian academic institutions.
The mission of the PoIish Naval Academy is to create conditions necessary to provide security for the Republic of Poland at sea through disseminating compreherisive knowledge, conducting research work, educating and developing midshipmen and civilian students, as well as perfecting professional military and civilian workers, in the administration and maritime industry.
