Baltic Defence College delegation at Annual Baltic Conference on Defence
On 28-29 September, the Baltic Defence College delegation participated in the Annual Baltic Conference on Defence (ABCD), which is a recognized regional forum for intellectual debate among members of the security and defence community – policymakers, military officials, academics, analysts and media representatives – on defence issues pertinent to NATO and the EU.
It has been an acknowledged forum to discuss regional concerns and the broader transatlantic security and defence agenda among persons coming from variety of organizations and nations. The ABCD is allowing to conduct conceptual discussions about security related developments and to contribute to create common strategic thinking among the Baltic states, their allies and partners. In 2016 the Conference was organized in Tallinn on September 28-29, 2016 in Nordic Hotel Forum.
The ABCD since 2010 has been jointly organised by the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS http://www.icds.ee/ ), which is a Tallinn-based think-tank for the analysis of security and defence policy issues, and the Ministry of Defence of Estonia (http://www.kaitseministeerium.ee/en ).
