On 1st and 2nd of October, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) is hosting the members of Command Senior Enlisted Course (CSELC) Working Group. The meeting is a continuation of efforts started in August 2017 in order to develop the CSELC concept for the Pilot Course which is to take place in autumn 2019.
The initiative of CSELC was born during the meeting of Nordic Chiefs of Defence in May 2017 in Stockholm and the current workshop includes the following Baltic Sea Region countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, supported by different NATO institutions.
Throughout two working days, various aspects of the Pilot Course are being discussed. The outcomes will be presented to the Commandant of the Baltic Defence College MG Andis Dilans, for decision-making and further coordination within the Baltic states and Participating Nations.
As a side-event, College Sergeant Major Peeter Einbaum is moderating the round table seminar with the faculty and students of the Joint Command and General Staff Course. The seminar will be attended by Command Senior Enlisted Leader of NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) SGM Davor Petek, Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the Estonian Defence Forces SGM Siim Saliste and Command Sergeant Major of the Danish NCO Academy Claus Christian Stougaard Andersen.
