Baltic Defence Study Tour successfully conducted

The Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) 2016/2017 and the Civil Servants Course (CSC) 2016 of the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) conducted their Baltic Defence Study Tour (BDST) from 17th – 21st October 2016.

The students visited each of the Baltic capitals, including Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn. The aim of the study tour was to deepen the students’ knowledge on the defence policies and strategic plans of the Baltic States, through meetings with national high-ranking civil servants and military officials from the Defence Ministries of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The JCGSC and CSC students also visited Siauliai air base, Adazi army camp, and Tallinn mine harbor, to orientate with the local and regional capabilities at the disposal of the Baltic States and NATO.
