College Management Group’s duty trip to Latvia

This week, the Management Group of the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) is conducting a duty trip to Latvia. The aim of the trip is to continue a sequence of visits aiming to get a comprehensive overview of the regional armed forces and to build stronger relationships with military facilities in order to better fulfil expectations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the area of military education.

The programme started with a visit to the Non-Commissioned Officer's School in Cēsis. Members of the Management Group received a briefing on the structure, main tasks and educational system of the National Defence Academy of Latvia provided by the Vice Rector, LTC Aivars Krjukovs. It was followed by a presentation on the Non-Commissioned Officer's School by the Commander, MAJ Vasilijs Gračovs, a former graduate of the BALTDEFCOL.

 

Afterwards, the College Management Group Meeting was held on the premises of the NCO School. The duty trip will continue with the Baltic Coordination Group Meeting held in Riga.
