Cooperation agreement between the Baltic Defence College and the Polish Air Force Academy 

 

On 11 October 2011 a delegation from the Baltic Defence College participated in the official inauguration of the academic year 2011/2012 of the Polish Air Force Academy in Dęblin. The academy is also known as the "School of Eagles". The delegation consisted of Col Ingemar Gustafsson, the BALTDEFCOL Deputy Commandant and Col Zdzislaw Sliwa from the College’s Operations Department.

 

The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of State of the Polish Ministry of Defense Czeslaw MROCZEK, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Polish General Staff VADM Waldemar Głuszko and the Polish Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. pilot Lech Majewski.

During the ceremony a cooperation agreement between the Baltic Defence College and the Air Force Academy in Dęblin was signed. Moreover, Col Gustafsson provided the opening lecture on "Security problems in the Baltic Region”. He also presented the role of the Baltic Defence College as an academic institution along with some potential areas of cooperation between academies. 

The delegation also participated in a tour presenting the Air Force Academy including infrastructure, training facilities and equipment.
