Cooperation Agreement signed between Polish War Studies University and Baltic Defence College

On 14th of September, Brigadier General Ryszard Parafianowicz, Rector-Commandant of the Polish War Studies University (WSU) visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). The main purpose of the visit was signing the Letter of Intent on Cooperation between WSU and BALTDEFCOL.

BG Parafianowicz was welcomed by the College Management Group. The visit started with an office call with Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, Major General Andis Dilāns. For the purpose of opening new possibilities for cooperation and establishing mutually beneficial relationship, BG Parafianowicz and MG Dilāns signed the Letter of Intent between the two institutions. Both parties agreed to further develop the ongoing areas of cooperation in common fields of competence. The main areas of such cooperation include conducting combined joint exercises and exchanging expertise on various fields related to professional education of future commanders and staff officers.

Afterwards, BG Parafianowicz received a briefing on BALTDEFCOL’s history, mission, current activities and future developments followed by a building tour led by SGM Einbaum. The official part of the visit was concluded by BG Parafianowicz’s attendance at the Closing Speech of Baltic Military History Conference 2018 delivered by General Sir James Everard, KCB, CBE, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR).
