Commandant of the Baltic Defence College, Brigadier General Algis Vaičeliūnas, and Director of the Institute of International Relations and Political Science (IIRPS) of the University of Vilnius (Lithuania), Professor Raimundas Lopata, signed a cooperation agreement between the two academic institutions. The ceremony took place at the Lithuanian Embassy in Tallinn on December 4th. The IIRPS is the largest faculty of political science in the Baltic states with a range of degree programmes which includes a new MA in War and Peace Studies, developed with the contribution of the BALTDEFCOL. The cooperation agreement establishes a framework for the students and graduates mobility, exchange of lecturers and collaboration in research activities and projects. It represents yet another important milestone in the College‘s strategy of creating a network of academic partnerships with the Baltic universities as a way of building and maintaining a challenging academic environment at the school and promoting strategic studies in the Baltic states.
