In the afternoon of the 22nd of February 2019, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) welcomed representatives of the Ministries of Defence of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, Ambassadors and Defence Attachés of our allied and partner nations and members of our partner institutions to the Distinguished Visitors' Afternoon.
It has become a tradition to organise this annual event and offer the visitors an overview of the current activities and future developments of the College. Major General Andis Dilāns, Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, and Colonel Jean Trudel, Deputy Commandant / Chief of Staff, briefed the guests on BALTDEFCOL’s history and mission, its courses, academic activities and upcoming events. The latter include the 5th Annual Conference on Russia on 7-8 March and Exercise Joint Resolve 19 in Poland in May 2019.
After the information brief, the majority of the guests joined BALTDEFCOL students, staff and their guest in celebration of the annual “Baltic Defence College International Night”.
