Lecturer, Military History and Strategic Planning
BiographyDr. Douglas Ford is Lecturer in Military History and Strategic Planning in the Department of Political and Strategic Studies at the Baltic Defence College. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Modern History from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in International History from the London School of Economics. He has taught military history and war studies at several universities in the United Kingdom, including Aberystwyth, Salford, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. He has also held a visiting research fellowship at the Japanese Ministry of Defence, and currently serves as an external assessor at King’s College, London. He is an elected fellow of the Royal Historical Society and has served on the editorial board for Mariner’s Mirror. |
