On November 22, 2023, the joint graduation ceremony for the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) Command Senior Enlisted Leaders’ Course (CSELC) and Senior Leaders' Course (SLC) was held in Tallinn. The graduation ceremony included the recognition of outstanding achievements and contributions by CSELC students and faculty members.
Master Chief Petty Officer Jane Andersen received the Academic Writing Award for demonstrating the highest quality in writing an Argumentative Essay ‘’Danish strategic challenges in the Baltic Sea after NATO’s expansion with Finland and Sweden’’ and defending it before a board. She received an Academic Award and will be able to publish in the BALTDEFCOL online collection of the best course participants/students' papers called ‘Ad Securitatem’.
Warrant Officer 1st class Stefano Genco received the Commandants Award. This award recognises the course participant whom the CSELC leadership believes has demonstrated the most outstanding overall creativity, insight, rigour, leadership, and comradeship. This particular course participant achieved exceptional academic results in all assignments while demonstrating excellent leadership and comradeship. He also enriched the educational experiences of his colleagues, contributed extensively to the course, and reflected the values and expectations of the BALTDEFCOL. CMSgt Joshua J. Wiener received the Course Leader Recognition. This recognition is presented to the course participant whom the fellow course participants have selected to perform the Course Leader’s tasks. He also demonstrated the highest quality by writing an Argumentative Essay, "Enlisted Talent Management in NATO: Is the Alliance limiting operational readiness because of outdated enlisted talent management processes?’’ and defending it before a board. He will have an opportunity to publish in the BALTDEFCOL online collection of the best course participants/students' papers called ‘Ad Securitatem’.
During the Graduation Ceremony, the CSELC recognised Dr Lukáš Dyčka as the Best Faculty Member. It is a significant honour to be acknowledged by students, and being selected for three consecutive years reflects a consistent and exceptional contribution to the academic community.
