Experts from the Ministry of Defence of Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia visited the Baltic Defence College
The Commandant of BALTDEFCOL welcomed the visitors and expressed his appreciation for selection of good Macedonian officers to attend the Joint Command and General Staff Course. Capt (N) Eero Karhuvaara briefed the visitors about the College and its current activities. The delegation expressed its sincerest gratitude for having the opportunity to educate Macedonian officers at BALTDEFCOL. One of the members of the delegation, Capt Goran Pavlevski graduated from BALTDEFCOL in June 2005. The representatives of Macedonian Ministry of Defence assured that they are willing to continue such co-operation by sending students to JCGSC. Mr Zimbakov was especially interested in the Civil Servants Course at BALTDEFCOL, as they are considering establishing a similar course or looking for possibilities to send Civil Servants to study here. The delegation assured that they have only had good experiences with the Baltic Defence College and the Commandant on his side expressed hope that the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will use the opportunity to send an officer to attend the Higher Command Studies Course at BALTDEFCOL in 2006.
