H.E. Mr. Alain Hausser, Canadian Ambassador visits the Baltic Defence College

H.E. Mr. Alain Hausser is the Canadian Ambassador to the Republic of Latvia, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Estonia since March 2015. H.E. was escorted by Ms Kairi-Liis Ustav, Head of Mission in Canadian Embassy Office in Tallinn, the Ambassador visited the Baltic Defence College on September 30th 2015.

COL Axel Pfaffenroth, Deputy Commandant and Chief of Staff together with Dr Augustine Meaher, BALTDEFCOL Dean gave the Ambassador a comprehensive briefing on the background and activities of the Baltic Defence College; it’s history, goals and main lines of effort.

As with many other countries, Baltic Defence College has had a fruitful bilateral cooperation with the Canadian Government and the Canadian Armed Forces. Over the years both BALTDEFCOL and Canada have provided support as well as participated in each other’s exercises, exchanged faculty members and paid visits to strengthen and deepen the already established cooperation, valued by the both parties. BALTDEFCOL is very appreciative of all the support provided by the Canadian Armed Forces and looks forward to increased cooperation and a deeper partnership with our transatlantic ally.
