On 1st and 2nd of June, BALTDEFCOL's Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) 2018 conducted a trip to the south-eastern part of Estonia. 
On the first day, the HCSC visited Kuperjanov Infantry Battalion and climbed Suur Munamägi, the highest peak in Estonia (318 m above sea level). After this effort, the group enjoyed resting and socializing at Kubija SPA Hotel. 

 
On the second day, the HCSC stopped in Piusa Caves where they first saw short documentaries about Piusa’s nature and bats, followed by a guided tour at the quartz sand mine. The next stop was Seto Farm Museum located in Värska. It presented the students how people of this region, Setomaa, lived at the beginning of the 20th century. The trip was concluded by a visit to the Estonian Road Museum in Varbuse.
