This week, Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosts the Initial Planning Workshop in preparation for the sixth edition of the Command Senior Enlisted Leaders' Course (CSELC).
In 2024, the BALTDEFCOL is manning CSELC to continue involving the top-level experts selected from the course alumni representing Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania—the BALTDEFCOL Framework Nations—in the capacity of Module Coordinators and a Canadian representative in the capacity of Senior Mentor.
The course staff was met and greeted by the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL Brigadier General (LTU Army) Alvydas Šiuparis. The commandant highlighted that the CSELC course is equally important as the other courses organized by BALTDEFCOL and looks forward to the course and its participants.
These distinguished graduates are returning from their current jobs and share their experience in the capacities of Senior Mentors and Module Coordinators.
For two days, invited experts from the Baltic states and Canada will receive knowledge about the academic standards used in the BALTDEFCOL and, most importantly, go through the detailed planning process of the course. Lastly, they will receive additional mentoring on moderation delivery sessions developed by the BALTDEFCOL and offering practical knowledge and tools on organising discussion panels for CSELC course participants and how to moderate them. Mr Louis Wierenga will deliver the subject.
During the third day of the workshop, the participants will join the Annual Conference on Russia, concluding the Initial Planning Workshop. The Final Planning Workshop for the CSELC staff is planned for mid-August.
BALTDEFCOL wishes the CSELC course leadership and external Module Coordinators the best of luck for the upcoming busy and challenging days and is looking forward to a successful delivery of CSELC 2024, which will take place in Autumn 2024!
