On February 22, 2024, a joint celebration of Independence Day for Estonia and Lithuania was held at the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). Lithuania celebrated its Independence Day on February 16, and Estonia will celebrate its 106th anniversary on February 24.
It was a momentous occasion, symbolizing solidarity, shared history, and the strength of Baltic unity. The Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL, Brigadier General Alvydas Šiuparis and Director of the Department of Military Studies, Colonel Toomas Möls, addressed all members of the BALTDEFCOL family and emphasised the unity and friendship of the Baltic states.
