On 24th of May, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) in cooperation with Tartu City Government conducted a movie premiere of “The Pagan King” - a historical fiction action movie directed by Aigars Grauba.
The movie is set in the 13th century along the shores of the Baltic Sea where the lands are still pagan. The Pagan King tells the story of a young king who must win the confidence of his people in order to defend their freedom against the violent crusaders. It is based on the legend of the Namejs Ring.
Prior to the movie, the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL Major General Andis Dilāns together with the Mayor of Tartu Mr. Urmas Klaas hosted a reception. Assistant Directors Zanda Senkova and Marija Grauba and Producer Aija Ansone were among the guests and provided insights into the movie making process.
After the movie, the audience had a wonderful opportunity to ask questions from the members of the production team.
