Biography
James Rogers is Director of the Department of Political and Strategic Studies at the Baltic Defence College. He holds a B.Sc. Econ. (Hons.) in International Relations and Strategic Studies (first class) from Aberystwyth University and an M.Phil. in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Cambridge. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in European Studies, which focuses on the role of think tanks in constructing a European-level strategic culture.
He has worked on projects for several research institutions, including RAND Europe (for the French Ministry of Defence), the European Council on Foreign Relations, FRIDE, the Alternatives Foundation and the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies. He has also written reports for the European Parliament and the European Union's Institute for Security Studies (commissioned by the European Union Military Committee). He is a Senior Editor of the online magazine European Geostrategy.
