Second day of Individual Study Papers’ defence
10th May 2013, was the final day for the Officers of the Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) to give their presentations for their Independent Study Projects (ISP). Four panels presented throughout the morning to their colleagues and faculty at the Baltic Defence College.
The faculty were impressed by the general level of commitment and enthusiasm of the Officers. A handful of the presentations were exceptionally good – with clear structure, crisp Power Point slides and confident and enthusiastic presenting skills.
According to Maj Anar Eyvazov, who gave his presentation today:
I found this a great experience for the development of my skills. I also found myself able to consider the audience during the preparation for the presentation. I believe this type of exam is quite beneficial for us to be better prepared to defend our thoughts.
And, in the words of Maj Danius Pašvenskas, who gave his presentation yesterday:
It was a good opportunity to gain confidence, because a long lasting task was completed. Also, it was beneficial to lean from my course colleagues. Most of the topics were interesting and relevant. I found it as a more academic environment than a military one.
