From 14-15 August, Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted the Final Planning Workshop in preparation for the sixth edition of the Command Senior Enlisted Leaders' Course (CSELC). The workshop brought together the core team to discuss the course's readiness and coordinate efforts. The course format has entered the final preparation phase for its upcoming session in autumn 2024.
During the workshop, the course staff were welcomed by the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, Brigadier General Alvydas Šiuparis, who emphasized the importance of maintaining the high standards of the CSELC. He expressed anticipation for the course and the participation of senior enlisted leaders.
The CSELC is designed for top Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) operating at the strategic level alongside General and Flag Officers within the dynamic and complex Baltic Sea regional environment and beyond. The course gathers participants from NATO member nations and Partner Nations, fostering the exchange of experiences and knowledge through its carefully crafted modules.
In his address to the workshop participants, College Command Sergeant Major and Course Director of the CSELC, CSM Alvydas Tamošiūnas, highlighted the importance of fostering a constructive and balanced environment to deliver a strategic-level course. He noted that this would be a key responsibility for the CSELC staff. Command Senior Enlisted Leaders are crucial in shaping international military culture, building networks, and strengthening the NCO corps, particularly in the rapidly evolving security landscape.
BALTDEFCOL extends its best wishes to the CSELC leadership and external module coordinators for the busy and challenging days ahead and looks forward to the successful delivery of CSELC 2024 in autumn 2024!
