The Rīga Conference 2016

On 28th-29th October, the Baltic Defence College delegation participated in the annual The Rīga Conference 2016 (https://www.rigaconference.lv/), an important forum for constructive dialogue on international and regional security issues.

During the conference, organized jointly by the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, recognized global and regional political and military decision makers, academics, analysts and media representatives participated. Such a notable representation is allowing facilitation of debates at various levels touching the most important multidimensional security related challenges.

The conference will include discussion panels as follow:

• Fateful Interactions: The Middle East in Upheaval and Mass Exodus to the EU
• What is the Future of the European Order Like?
