Unconventional Warfare Seminar
From 4th to 6th of November 2014, the BALTDEFCOL hosted the U.S. Special Operations Command Europe / Joint Special Operations University´s second Unconventional Warfare Seminar in Tartu.
Together with Major General Gregory Lengyel, Commander U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, the Deputy Commandant and Chief of Staff BALTDEFCOL, Colonel Axel Pfaffenroth, welcomed 60 participants from 11 Nations and informed on BALTDEFCOL´s mission, courses and vision as a Professional Military Education institution on the operational and strategic level.
The Unconventional Warfare Seminar provides a forum for Baltic, Nordic and other relevant partner nations to discuss ideas, exchange viewpoints, and conduct research and analysis in order to establish intellectual interoperability. Military and civilian representatives from foreign ministries, academia, the private sector, and practitioners engaged in interactive group discussions involving presentations by specialists and academics as well as small group work.
