Visit by Brigadier General Zenon Brzuszko, Commander of LITPOLUKRBRIG

On 29th of August, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) welcomed Brigadier General Zenon Brzuszko, Commander of Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade (LITPOLUKRBRIG).

Following the office call with Commandant of the Baltic Defence College Major General Andis Dilāns, BG Brzuszko and the members of BALTDEFCOL’s Management Group engaged in presentations introducing both institutions. The discussion encompassed the importance of professional military education system and BALTDEFCOL was recognized by BG Brzuszko as an important multinational educational institution providing English-language teaching at the operational level. The participation of BALTDEFCOL’s students in LITPOLUKRBRIG’s international exercises and options for future cooperation and exchange of experiences was also discussed.


Afterwards, BG Brzuszko delivered a lecture on “The Grand Hetman Kostiantyn Ostrogski Brigade as a Vital Element of Security Architecture” to the students of Joint Command and General Staff Course 2018/2019. The lecture allowed familiarization of BALTDEFCOL's faculty and students with the LITPOLUKRBRIG as international unit facilitating common understanding and trust among three founding nations and other contributors. BG Brzuszko shared his experience of being the Commander in a multinational environment, which was followed by questions from students as future commanders and staff officers.
