Visit by Col Michael Davis, Commandant of NATO School Oberammergau

On 18th February, Colonel Michael Davis, Commandant of NATO School Oberammergau (NSO) visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). The aim of the visit was to discuss possible educational cooperation between two institutions. The delegation was welcomed by the Commandant, Major General Andis Dilans, members of College Management Group and Senior National Representative for the United States, Lieutenant Colonel Richard A. Towner. 

      

Col Davis received a thorough briefing on BALTDEFCOL’s academic activities and ongoing developments. During the meeting, both Commandants discussed common areas related to professional military education along with recognized options for further cooperation. As a result of the visit, both parties have a good understanding of each other's requirements and capabilities supporting professional development of officers and noncommissioned officers. The follow-on meeting with Directors of the BALTDEFCOL Departments proved be important to recognize areas of cooperation in more details.
