Visit by European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats

On 23rd of November 2018, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted a visit by the delegation of the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE). The aim of the visit was to discuss areas of future cooperation as well as to exchange knowledge and share experiences in specific areas of mutual interest.

For the purpose of establishing a beneficial cooperation, Director of the Hybrid CoE Mr. Matti Saarelainen and Commandant of BALTDEFCOL Major General Andis Dilāns signed a Letter of Intent. Among other things, both parties agreed to support each other’s educational activities by exchanging Subject Matter Experts, lecturers, researchers and mentors and to mutually participate in conferences, seminars and roundtable discussions. Starting already from the next semester, Hybrid CoE personnel will be involved in the BALTDEFCOL academic activities.
