Visit by MG Michel Delion, Director of the Centre for Doctrine and Command Teaching 

On 11th of February, Major General Michel Delion, Director of the Centre for Doctrine and Command Teaching (CDEC) paid a visit to the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). High level guest accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Alain Moulia, Head of Formation office and Reserve Officers' Staff College Deputy Commander (CDEC/ESORSEM) was welcomed by Major General Andis Dilāns, Commandant of BALTDEFCOL and College Management Group and faculty members.

The main aim of the visit was to meet the BALTDEFCOL leadership, exchange information and get a better understanding of the various courses and activities conducted at the College. MG Delion expressed an interest towards Senior Leader’s Course and Joint Command and General Staff Course in the matter of attractiveness. Our high level guest also paid attention to Joint Resolve 2020 exercise as a valuable and required constituent of professional military education. MG Delion expressed new opportunities and possibilities for further cooperation in these domains.


After the briefing session, MG Delion addressed our Higher Command Studies Course today, providing insights on current operational challenges and conditions of success on the battlefield.

Afterwards, the visit continued with a meeting of the Estonian Military Academy representatives.
