Visit by Mr Lars Salquist, Head of Department for NATO and EU Policy of Danish Ministry of Defence

On 8th of May the Baltic Defence College (baltdefcol) had the honor to welcome Mr Lars Salquist, the Head of Department for NATO and EU Policy of Danish Ministry of Defence. The high level quest was accompanied by Colonel Søren Frausig, Defence Attaché of Denmark accredited to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The delegation had an office call to the BALTDEFCOL Commandant Major General Vitalijus Vaikšnoras which was followed by a deeper brief on the College, its courses and future challenges.

Afterwards Mr lars Salquist delivered a lecture on “Danish Security and Defence Policy” to the officers of the Joint Command and General Staff Course 2012/2013 and civil servants of the Civil Servants Course 2013. The lecture culminated with an active round of questions and answers where the audience used the opportunity to engage the distinguished speaker in an open discussion.
