On 12th of June 2017 the Baltic Defence College hosted a visit by Mr. Róbert Ondrejcsák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic. The State Secretary was accompanied by Mr. Marian Majer, Director of the State Secretary´s Cabinet, COL Jozef Kotas, Military Advisor and Mr. Peter Beňo, Deputy Head of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tallinn.
The distinguished visitors were welcomed by Colonel Axel Pfaffenroth, Deputy Commandant and Chief of Staff, Dr Zdzislaw Sliwa, Dean, Mr Gatis Mezitis, Development Planner, Dr Matuš Halas, Lecturer on Strategic Studies and Colonel Róbert Kleštinec, Slovak student of the Higher Command Studies Course 2017.
During an information briefing on the College several opportunities for cooperation were discussed like exchanging guest speakers, participation in conferences and continued provision of students. The visit finished with a tour of BALTDEFCOL´s educational facility led by the College Sergeant Major, Peeter Einbaum.
